Description:

The project features 1 attack animation set-up in Unreal Engine, with the ability to cancel the animation part-way through - bringing it back to the idle state.

• The animation moves from an idle into an anticipation, then a charging loop, and either into a final 'release' to recovery and back into idle or a cancel back to idle.
• The charging state is able to loop infinitely.
• ​All animation states are layed out within the level as a showcase.

Changes I'd make now:

• ​​Release State - The front flip onto the floor has a impact reaction, with the recovery being fast enough to not break the flow, but the move from this into the final attack isn't as smooth.

Changes I'd make now

• Tail Motion - The tail motion moves in a circular motion, although this follows the pelvis motion and isn't too loose (due to dogs having more rigid tails), this can break the cycles flow and be too repetitive. I may have broken up the movement more.

• Hind Legs - The hind legs on a dogs run typically is one foot before the other, and this pattern alternates. That is present here, but I'd increase the spacing of this to make it more obvious - this would also impact the rotation of the pelvis as the leg motion is lead by it.

​

• Collar Overlapping Action - For the collar, I'd cycle the core motion and add more asymmetrical action to the name plate on the collar.

Changes I'd make now

• Lip movement on Plosive sounds - I'd tone down the movement on plosive sounds to avoid radical changes in the mouth causing over-action to look more natural and fluid.

• Presentation - I'd change the character model or use a female voice to compliment each-other.

Changes I'd make Now

• ​​First vehicle drift movement - For the first vehicle I'd push the forward and drifting movement to be more fluid, the car drifts but can use more forward momentum to look more convincing.
